Documentation of the Ralos System (An OC story I came up with in 2017 which spiraled out of control.) Grid layout stolen from W3Schools without too much modification. I'll change it if I decide I don't like it.

/GODS

In canon, most planetary residents are not aware of whether or not these beings actually exist. There are two exceptions, though even they are not aware of the true nature of their existence. Even the planetary deities are unreliable in their own description of events. Take everything on this page with a grain of salt, as it may or may not be true...

King Ralos

Location:

The Sun, Ralos System

Species:

God

Pronouns:

Unknown.
Primarily referred to as he/him.

Likes:

Order, Plasma,
being praised, brightness,
things falling into place as intended,
himself

Dislikes:

Disarray, deviation from
his plans, free thought,
Void, spontaneity
The first being known to the Ralos system. Created the planets and their respective deities for a
purpose not yet understood by us using his blood.
This drained him severely, resulting in his hibernation within the Sun -
or perhaps he is the Sun. He later punished Querel and Arka's Planet
with Psychospecters and Shade Eaters respectively for the
introduction of Void into the world, according to Arka.

Space Wyverns

Location:

Across the galaxy

Species:

Space Wyverns

Pronouns:

fµs/føn, kµÞ/køn (approximation
based on translated artifacts)

Likes:

Music, emotion, invention,
spontaneity, restructuring,
glass, keeping pets

Dislikes:

Being separated from
one another, stagnation
These creatures reportedly accompanied Darius's Comet when it passed by the Ralos System,
bringing Void with them, as well as free will for the creatures
residing there. They were driven out
by Ralos as well as Kaanza, who takes pride in the event, though not without turning a desert to glass
and splitting Arka's Planet's moon in two.
Their arrival marked the end of the Infancy and the beginning of First Comet.
Their destruction marked the beginning of Second Sun.
While meteoric samples suggest they may not have been true gods in a biological sense, they were greatly influential and are still worshiped as such.

The Prince

Location:

Unknown

Species:

God

Pronouns:

Any

Likes:

▓┤▄█▒

Dislikes:

Who knows
This being came into existence following the conflict between the Space Wyverns and Ralos. It was said to be a being of benevolence, trying to bring harmony to all creatures of Querel and attempting to unite all sapient beings and get them to work together towards a common goal, which is now lost to time. Its followers have twisted the story to represent the exact opposite of what the Prince wanted and have since used its teachings to, ironically, divide people further and make them fight amongst themselves. It's not known why it left or how it came into existence in the first place.

/PLANETS

Querel

Points of Interest:

BARC, Cherryrose County, [Currently under investigation], President Hawk's office

Stories:

REAPER
Location of BARC industries, home to humans, astrals, beastfolk and more. Contains an abundance of magical wildlife, powered by Plasma and Void. Many creatures look very, very different as children compared to their adult forms. Even some of the plants are sentient.
The planet is plagued with Psychospecters, also known as just Specters, creatures with bodies made almost entirely from void who are always causing some unpleasant thing to happen.

Kantz

Points of Interest:

????

Stories:

Hell or High Water
An extremely rocky, magmatic planet which is closest to the Sun. It is populated by fiery lizard creatures called Salalancers. Despite their name, not all of them use lances in combat. In fact, most of them have moved on to using guns now. It rains alcohol on this planet. I shit you not. Who came up with this? Alloy Wyrms also live within the soil, which are hunted for their scales which bear a resemblance to titanium, and are just as useful. The culture of this planet is extremely strict and intolerant of outsiders. No efforts have been made by BARC to visit this planet, as frankly, the thought of having our heads displayed in a courtroom somewhere doesn't appeal to us.

Arka's Planet

Points of Interest:

Temple of Renewal, ??????

Stories:

Hell or High Water
The furthest planet from the Sun, this planet mostly consists of oceans and floating islands. We do not know how these landmasses stay afloat in the air, but we suspect it may be due to an abundance of crystal Plasma. This planet is populated by a species similar to humans known as Icarae, sea serpents, Tytonidae and more. It is the only known planet that is directly ruled over by the deity described in [Confidential] as far as we are aware.

Ephemera

Points of Interest:

Sprout

Stories:

N/A
There appears to be nothing here but a single sprout of unknown origin. The rest of the planet is covered in permafrost.

Sylphon

Points of Interest:

Varies

Stories:

N/A
Planet of flesh. Almost no one who enters lives to tell the tale. From a distance, it looks like a warm and inviting paradise, but it is said that many who enter end up being devoured by the planet itself, torn apart by the shifting "soil." The people living there are not real people, no matter how differently they may act from one another in the moment. Only one sample of the soil has been brought back to BARC, and was used in a few experiments before being sealed off.

/SPECIES

Humans

Location:

Querel

Abilities:

Varies
Humans of Querel are noticeably different from those of Earth. They have trace amounts of Plasma in their blood which allows them to use magic, the type of which being passed down through their lineage. They have never been known to deal with Hyperplasmaticism, a condition that arises when one has too much Plasma in their system which causes painful burns, insomnia and flammability, but they are highly susceptible to Amygdalitis, a Void-Borne illness which causes a loss of color, nausea, lethargy and poisonous blood.

Beastfolk

Location:

Querel

Abilities:

Usually very long lifespans, abilities relate to animal type
Furries.
They're just furries.
Beastfolk are a race of animal-people who live across the planet of Querel. Their diet may vary by animal type, though almost all of them are omnivores to some extent. There are no insect beastfolk, and fishfolk are not typically seen on land. Probably because they would die.

Astrals

Location:

Querel

Abilities:

Lifespan conversion into controlled magic
Astrals evolved from Beastfolk after Darius's Comet hit Querel. Like humans, they are capable of magic, but unlike them, they burn up their life force in order to use it. Because of this, they typically do not live as long. Another peculiar part of them is their metamorphosis-- At birth, they resemble their parents, but when reaching puberty they sprout transleuscent wings that form a cocoon around them for several months, after which they emerge as something entirely different, depending on what dreams they had during this transition. They always have horns or antlers to channel their magic through.

Psychospecters

Location:

Querel

Abilities:

Shapeshifting
(technically.)
A psychospecter's true body is a small, earwig-like insect. The rest of its body is composed of a mixture of the blood of its host and a bit of Void to hold it together. As such, the younger ones are usually a deep red color which turns black as they grow older. Their personalities are based on the negative thoughts of their host, and they reach maturity when their host either dies or kills someone, at which point the corpse is devoured, they grow in size and power, and they contaminate everything they touch.

Tytonidae

Location:

Arka's Planet

Abilities:

Flight, moonlight spear, excellent night vision, firesight
These owl-people dwell in the forest of a very specific island on Arka's Planet. They are nocturnal omnivores who live in and build bridges between the trees to form their villages. Their bones are extremely fragile, so they tend to avoid conflict wherever possible. That being said, they are in no ways pushovers-- if a threatening presence were to approach them, they would attempt to outwit and outspeed their opponents until they could hunt no more, and then use their bodies for resources. They also possess firesight, the ability to see into the past, present or future within flames-- though not by choice.

Icarae

Location:

Arka's Planet

Abilities:

Flight, regeneration
These creatures bear visual resemblance to humans, with the addition of bird wings on their back and neon glowing blood. They were intentionally created by Arka herself to serve as the protectors of the planet due to her rivalry with Kaanza. The wings on their back can look like any type of Earth bird (don't think about it too hard) and their blood gives them the ability to regenerate. As long as no vital organs are destroyed, they can only die from old age or a very specific type of poison.

Shade Walkers

Location:

Arka's Planet

Abilities:

?????????
Currently under investigation.

Salalancers

Location:

Kantz

Abilities:

Immunity to heat, high resistance to blunt force, ???????
Reptilians formed from the flowing magma of specialized volcanoes known as Forges. Their culture is specifically engineered to create loyal soldiers, and their sexual dimorphism exists solely to create different types of fighters. The males are usually heavier, larger and more defensive while the females are agile, lightweight and slippery as eels. Strength and bloodlust are valued above all else in their society, and failure to successfully kill a target is considered a moral failing, especially when any "broken" body parts are readily replaced with cybernetics-- including the head, should one repeatedly disrupt the order.

Sylphoni

Location:

Sylphon

Abilities:

"Shapeshifting..???"
These may appear to be amphibians, but they are not. They are not even individual creatures at all. They all share one hivemind. These are Sylphon's attempt at creating "people" by using the flesh-soil to create these bipedal figures in an attempt to lure outsiders to their doom and add to the mass of photochromatic flesh. Once their prey is lured away from their only hope of escape, they grab onto their victim and begin to melt and deform, dragging the poor sucker into the earth with them. Though they vary in color, they are always pale with vibrant markings, all with those same glassy, empty, green eyes.
